Why Body Wipes Are The Best For Camping?

If you’ve ever been camping without your best companion, the body wipes, then you know just how real the funk can be. After spending four nights in the great outdoors without running water or any other luxuries, I can’t even tell you enough just how thankful I was to have an arsenal of wipes to help me stay fresh and clean while enjoying the wild. For you, I disclose what are the best camping wipes and how to get the most out of them.

Camping is fun, but it could be gross as well

Don’t get me wrong – I love roughing it and being one with nature and all that crunchy stuff, but I don’t love smelling like a garbage can covered in sap. Staying clean helped me to get the most out of the experience without sacrificing my personal hygiene or being distracted by how badly I craved a shower.

If you’re looking to throw caution to the wind and spend some time in the woods, I’ve got a few essentials that you can’t leave civilization without!

The Body Wipes to feel clean and fresh while camping

The Body Wipes, Your Best Companion

It’s difficult to pretend that you’re even a little bit clean when your body reeks of last night’s campfire-cooked dinner, and you’ve got dirt hiding in places it should never be. After our day spent lounging in a river and drinking warm beers, one Wet Body Wipe was just what the doctor ordered to bring me back to a state of cleanliness. The following day was a whole different scenario – someone (not me) decided it would be a great idea to go on a hike in 90-degree heat.

Needless to say, I was pretty much a swamp monster by the time I dragged my sopping, exhausted body back to the campsite. It was time to break out the big guns: the Extra Large Body Wipes. One wipe was more than enough to take care of my whole body and leave me feeling fresh as a daisy, which beats using a million baby wipes because, well, that’s terrible for the environment and a colossal pain in the arse.

Don’t forget your Face and Deodorant Wipes

Instead of bulking up my toiletry bag with a clunky deodorant stick, I grabbed three discrete Deodorant Wipes, so I had one for each morning. These wipes instantly became part of my morning routine with their refreshing burst of grapefruit and ginger to help me shake off the cobwebs. The only issue was not having enough to share with my fellow (stinky) campers. You can even grab with you some face wipes to wash your face just before going to sleep.

Two More Things For When You Don’t Have Wet Wipes

Dry Shampoo And Dry Conditioner Spray

Lounging in a river all day may sound luxurious, but you can tell that to the rat’s nest which formed on the back of my head by the end of the day. So much for that woodsy-sexy look, I was going for – my hair didn’t stand a chance. Then I remembered the Dry Shampoo and Dry Conditioner stashed away in my bag, and my lost-in-the-woods-but-still-cute vision was back in motion! Due to the absolute horror of my hair situation, I needed both to bring it back to life. I started with some Dry Shampoo at the roots and gave my hair a little tousle, then I sprayed dry conditioner on the ends and brushed through the snarls!

Last But Not Least, The Waterless Shave Gel

Finally, the “pièce de résistance” that really helped me stand out from the crowd was my Waterless Shave Gel. Sure, you could just shave before the trip and hope it lasts, but by the fourth day, no one was stubble-free. As I mentioned, we spent a lot of time in swimsuits, so being clean-shaven was a plus. All it took was five minutes with a disposable razor and not only was my unwanted hair gone, but my legs also felt super soft thanks to the gel’s moisturizing properties!
